Hiking guides and routes in Priego de Córdoba

In our visit we can walk around very important ecological and geological places, which have so many different forest and animal species and also a very beautiful landscape where there is a constrast between the big sheer sierras and deep valleys in the course of rivers.

To the south side of this village is a very steep area, where we can find the limestone mass of La Horconera, la Sierra de Albayete, la Sierra de los Pollos or Jaula and la Sierra de la Gallinera.

To the north side is a flat area with small hills, where we can find La Sierra de Los Judíos, of which the biggest peak is Pico Calabazas and La Sierra de Alcaide.

All these Sierras are part of a natural park, Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas, which has been declared Geopark by UNESCO.
