In Priego, girls and boys learn since early childhood to respect and enjoy the Easter Week, a week of Passion when popular beliefs are revealed. Child processions are deeply rooted in our traditions and have been transmitted from generation to generation. They take place every year in June.
Whithout a doubt, Priego de Córdoba is a town in which the traditions of the cofradías or church guilds, are deep-rooted. Genereation after generation, the local children have shown particular interest, and are keen to follow their parents’ example. So, once the busiest months of April and May are over, the children recreate what they have witnessed, and offer us a sensitive and charming version of the world of processions, leaving us with hope for our traditions in the future.
