The natural wealth of Priego is explored on foot

Let yourself be carried away by the beauty of Priego’s natural landscapes. Each season transforms the scenery and gives you back a different town: the same path is never walked the same way twice.

Spring

The hills take on colour

March - May

The hills fill with colour and the olive groves awaken. The best time for long climbs: mild temperatures and days long enough for a full day out in the countryside.

Summer

Shade, water and early starts

June - September

Set off early and head for the riverbeds. The landscape dries out and hardens, and the late-evening light makes for the best photographs of the year.

Autumn

A carpet of fallen leaves

October - November

You will find a carpet of fallen leaves underfoot. It is the season of quiet trails, peaceful woods and the smell of wet earth.

Winter

The sierra’s clear outline

December - February

With the clear air you can see the sierra down to its last fold. Short days: choose well-measured routes and check the weather before setting off.
