Priego de Córdoba lies in the heart of Andalusia, on the boundary between its western and eastern provinces, in the south-east of the province of Córdoba. It occupies an important position within the geographical triangle formed by this Andalusian province, Granada and Jaén. Its municipal area covers 286.2 square kilometres, making it one of the largest municipalities in the Subbética Cordobesa, set among the area’s rugged, high mountain ranges.
