Description

Overview

The Public Washhouse on Calle Loja stands on that street, next to an alley, close to the junction with Calle Cardenal Cisneros. According to the Water Guide by the Calvo Aguilera brothers, the water rises behind the washhouse at the spring known as the Manantial de la Mina. It is the only washhouse preserved in the urban area, the result of pressure from local residents after a petition was collected in favour of its conservation and upkeep.
